Colorful Knitting

Knitting, unique fibers and colors

As a yarn enthusiast and knitter, I realize that each fiber gives a completely different result to the colors and has its own particular feel which makes it unique, whether it is superwash or not, rustic or silky, I appreciate each stitch, that is what pushed me to dye.
In my wools you will find colors that reflect parts of what surrounds me and of myself, of what I love, vibrant and coppery colors, to grey colors as if the passing of time had extinguished them.
I have "specialized" in self-striping yarns because I like to combine colors and I appreciate this dyeing process, but I also develop my solid colors since that's what I prefer to knit on a daily basis!
My work is a reflection of who I am, of what I love, so it is bound to evolve, and that's what makes this dyeing adventure so exciting.

Why "Volnena Yarn"?
"Volnena" comes from the Slovenian "volnena nit" meaning "woolen thread", it is a nod to my origins and especially to my grandmother who was also a knitter.

Who am I?

My name is Aurore, I'm 25 years old, and I've been a part-time wool dyer since 2021. I started by specializing in self-striping yarn, but you can now discover my colors on various wool bases. A knitter for many years and passionate about fibers, I'm amazed by the colors that can emerge from my magical vats!
